Description
Armenia, known as the birthplace of the vine, is also the site of the oldest known winemaking ruins, dating back 8000 years. This wine's brilliant and intense color with purple highlights comes from the native Karmrahyut grape which defines the grape's unique characteristic- "Karmir-hyut", meaning "red juice" in Armenian. Aged for 24 months in French and Karabakh oak barrels, the achievement is a wine with bold aromas of cranberries, cherries, plums and rose petals, with notes of white pepper and cinnamon esciting its complexity.
Best paired with cheeses, duck and filet mignon. May also be enjoyed with walnuts, figs and srawberries. After two to three years of bottle aging, this wines will excel when paired with noble game birds and poultry.
